Selfish Sophie

Sophie doesn’t like sharing. She keeps her books, sweets, cuddly toys and other things to herself. Her dad explains that it’s more fun to share, but she isn’t convinced. On a school trip to the zoo, Sophie sits alone on the coach and watches the other children sharing seats and singing songs. At the zoo she eats her lunch alone while the others share their crisps and sandwiches. When it starts to rain, the children share their umbrellas, but Sophie doesn’t have one. A boy called Jake offers to share his umbrella with Sophie. The illustration shows Sophie with a smile on her face for the first time. On the way home, the two children share a seat on the coach, and giggle all the way home!
