This delightfully illustrated picture book advises the reader to take positive steps to make sure they grow up healthy and strong: eat a variety of fruit and vegetables (not just sweets and snacks); choose clothes for protection from the sun, rain and cold; stay active by jumping, dancing and running; get plenty of sleep; stay safe by wearing a bike helmet, exercising caution on the swings and taking care near open water. The book also encourages good hygiene practices such as washing, cleaning teeth and covering cuts, and touches on mental wellbeing (advising the readers to do activities that make them happy, and to enjoy the seasons, birthdays and other special celebrations.) The book concludes with the message that you will grow up in your own special way as the days go by.
