Manners On Holiday
The Manners books show children how to resolve small difficulties they might face in their daily lives. These stories help children to develop their social skills early in a fun and friendly way.
Things we liked:
Appealingly illustrated.
Worth noting:
The book covers many subjects including: safety and protection (wearing a seatbelt, using sun protection, getting lost), picking up litter and tidiness, meeting new people/shyness, good hygiene (washing, keeping fingernails short, using tissues), helping out and sharing chores, being kind and considerate to others including animals, learning to apologise and good table manners. It also encourages children to respect differences in one another.
The book contains helpful hints for parents and carers, and also activities for children.
