Acknowledgement:
The way this book is written is simple and informative, and deals with sensitive subjects in a no-nonsense, practical and friendly manner, thus acknowledging that this is a topic that can generate anxiety in some children.
Guidance:
There’s a lot of practical advice in this book, from how to talk about sex and relationships, to what to expect when you are growing up. There is a section on keeping your own body private, what puberty feels like, different kinds of love and how babies are made and born. There is even a section on what it is like to be a parent, and one on relationship break-ups, too.
Worth noting:
There are cartoon images of body parts and the birth process.
