The book shows lots of different children experiencing treatment and interaction with the doctor or nurse. There is a view on the waiting room, children having an injection, being measured and weighed, being examined, being treated and bandaged up and shows the various equipment that the doctors and nurses use in the surgery. It ends with a child taking her medicine and looking forward to going out to play with her friends.

Things we liked:
The book has simple conversational text, and is brightly illustrated. Its reassuring and gives plenty of opportunities to show and talk through different situations with your child.
There is no story but it does accurately show what happens at the doctors and what to expect for both parent and child.
Worth noting:
One of the children illustrated is in a wheelchair (and is being treated for something unrelated to his disability). There is also a child with eczema being treated with cream, and a child with asthma using a peak flow monitor and an inhaler.
