The book shows lots of different children experiencing treatment and interaction with the dentist or hygienist. There is a view on the waiting room, the teeth being counted, an explanation on baby teeth and how to brush your teeth correctly. It then covers a little boy experiencing treatment on his teeth by having a filling – at each step it shows the different equipment used and ends on a positive note with the child leaving happy with a sticker.

Things we liked:

The book has simple conversational text, and is brightly illustrated. Its reassuring and gives plenty of opportunities to show and talk through different situations with your child.
There is no story but it does accurately show what happens at the dentist and what to expect for both parent and child.

Worth noting:

Includes an explanation of how baby teeth fall out, and new teeth grow to replace them.
